Charity Partner for Westport Marathon 2025

Western Alzheimer’s were thrilled to be named as the Charity Partner of the Westport Marathon 2025. The Westport Hotel Group nominated the charity as their main charity for the event and pledged to donate a percentage of the entry fee to Western Alzheimer’s. Special thanks to Joe, Anna Marie, Ann & Sinead and all the team at Westport Hotel Group for choosing Western Alzheimer’s as their charity partner for the marathon.

The Westport Marathon has been growing in popularity year on year. The 2025 event, which is only the 3rd event, hosted an eyewatering 4000 plus entrants! Phenomenal. Participants, families and friends, descended on Westport for the event, many of whom made a weekend of it availing of the fabulous hospitality, stunning sights and amenities available in Westport.

The event was an amazing success. The spring morning aided to the amazing atmosphere with a cloud free sky and fabulous sunshine. The race started and finished at Westport Quay. The route took in scenic sights around the outskirts of Westport taking in landmarks such as Clew Bay, Croagh Patrick and Westport Quay.
