Dawn Meats Donate €2250 after Christmas Raffle
Western Alzheimer’s are delighted to be in receipt of a donation from Dawn Meats Ballyhaunis, after the team engaged in a fundraising draw before Christmas. The crew sold tickets throughout their teams for a range of prizes and raised in excess of €1000 from ticket sales. Dawn Meats further matched the amount raised by the staff brining the total donation to €2250.
Our Fundraising Manager recently visited the plant for a cheque presentation and enjoyed meeting with the team, discuss their fundraising and learning about the history of Dawn Meats. Dawn Meats Ballyhaunis, is one of ten meat manufacturing plants across Ireland. The company is a significant employer nationally and is one of the largest employers in the Ballyhaunis area with a team of over 500. The plant produces premium meat which is sold locally and nationally.

Western Alzheimer’s were thrilled to be nominated by the team as their recipients for funds raised before Christmas. Funds raised will go towards providing care and supports to families living with Dementia across Galway, Mayo & Roscommon. Western Alzheimer’s wishes John Collins and all the team at Dawn Meats continued success & excellence in their field.
